So given the quality of 3D printers is following Moores Law, it makes me wonder whether in 10 Years time we will be paying £40 for Blueprint of "Whatever Vehicle" which we can then Print ourselves.... I wonder if we will have DRM type solutions where you get limited number of print runs depending on how much you pay? Anyway, it looks pretty damn awesome, no more crappy metal casts!!

  7. yea, theres a bit of a discussion over at the guild where many seem to think its a DOA technology that will never replace hand sculpture. I'm definitely not convinced by this. My wife has used 3d printing quite a lot in her PhD and the advancements even over the past 4 years have been mind blowing. I don't expect it to slow down any time soon.
